Will not launch - Just downloaded
Just bought and downloaded Dirt3 - Click play and I get the Dirt3 CD Key box, click copy to clipboard - Then hit play, and the box goes, then instead of the game launching the box just re-appears. Cannot get the game to launch. HELP.

same here... except for the re-appearing of the box... steam just says i am ingame for about 10 seconds.. but nothing happens.. :(

same for me - It started doing a first time install and then nothing happened - Tried verifiying local files but made no difference

Work for me : Start services.msc and find windows live sign in put "auto"

I fixed the issue!
1)Just remove the games for windows live component in the control panel.
2)Download the newest Games for Windows marketplace client and install.
3) Enjoy the game.

I installed Windows Games for Live - http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/DownloadClient and then signed into the live account. It worked after that.

Yes!!!

I got this game with my graphics card and was unable to get it to lauch forever. I talked to steam support and then got escollated to XBox support and nothing worked. Then I tried exactly what euro said a minute ago and it worked. I tried this method before about 6 months ago and it didn't work. the one thing I did differently was left games for windows live marketplace logged in while I launched DiRT3. It finally worked. Just uninstall Games for windows live ID in the control panel (you don't need to delete any other similar named items) and then goto xbox360.com and click on the tab for windows games and download the client and sign in with an active XBox account and then like magic boom it works. Even though the desktop icon is a white paper with the corner folded down it magically works for some crazy reason. I hope this works for everyone because I know if I bought it instead of getting it free with my graphics card purchase I would've been way more pissed off.

Just an FYI if you do go through support you have to usually communicate through e-mail which can take days if not weeks to get to an answer. but no worries guys this method actually works. you do not need to go through a million steps. Oh and thanks Euromokural, you the man!

Those of you affraid of this issue don't worry, buy the game and kick some you know what! ;)
