Dirt 2 v Dirt 3 ?. Which?. Worth it?

Hey all,
Both games are on sale at GMG at the moment. Havent really got into racing games before but thinking of buying one. Wonder whether Dirt 2 or Dirt 3 is the better option?. pro's con's?
Grid looks decent as well...

Dirt 1 was the game, Dirt 2 was more of the same, Dirt 3 is not that awesome but has more players online so if you want multi D3 is the game...

Both games are fantastic, I enjoyed Dirt 2 a little more but still have loads of hours on both.

Between the two of them I have 110 hours played.

I'm new to D3, only a couple hours experience, but have played D2 quite a bit. From what I've seen so far I've got to agree with the above that D2 is definitely the better game. D3 has more online players though. Grid is nice too, but no online play unless you get some third party thingie which I haven't tried. It's kinda odd they don't keep the mp servers running longer.

GRID was hacked to death - literally! There were so many hackers (and the developers did absolutely nothing about it) that all the legitimate honest players just didn't bother with MP. Those players that really wanted honest no-hack play went to private servers so there was no reason to keep the official MP running.

GRID singleplayer is still quite good and gives quite a few hours of playtime. It has an excellent selection of cars with fairly good physics.

DiRT 2 was and still is a great game and lots of fun just to drive with somewhat longer track lengths than DiRT3. I don't know if D2 online is still working.
