Dirt 3 wont start

My game wont start on WIN8. I read on google all kind of fixes and people who are familar with the problem.. Steam should NOT sell this

Same happening with me on windows 8.1, havent tried uninstalling and reinstalling yet

Run in windows 7 compatability mode.

May sound dumb but try making a new windws user account... this worked for me on win 7 it is not steam... have you tried to login to GFWL? i bet you have issues there

I did run it as W7 compatability mode, And also the GFWL fix didnt work!

Were you able to open GFWL on its own? If when you try and open dirt 3 nothing happens and you dont even see the splash screen then its GFWL... I tried all the fixes and none did a thing... when i tried to open gfwl it would say "a Required component is disabled" and not log in... After making a new Windows user account (what you chose when you first turn on your pc) with NO password GFWL opened right up and i got 3 hours of play time with 0 issues.

tnx for your replay, I think its indeed the GWL problem..
I tryied to install it but it wont let me, in the installation process a error pop ups telling me it can't connect to the internet.. I searched it on Google and it says that i have more ore one Proxy's installed what is true but when i disable the service's the problem again occurs

start a new Windows user account... Its in the control panel.( For windows itself not gfwl) Just make a new account with NO password and admin rights and it will work correctly :) it seems like a messed up way to fix it but it actually works. hope that gets you playing
