17.8.1 Patch - Patch is now Live
Sorry for the delay, but the issue with the last patch has been resolved and will be deployed later today.

17.8.1 is mostly a maintenance patch to address a few issues and fix the issue preventing us from deploying it earlier. We did add in an update to the anti-aliasing in this patch. If AA is at High or Ultra now it will use TXAA (before it was off or using FXAA, which is now Low and Medium). We found a few changes to make the TXAA acceptable to use with a lot less blur and streaking. We encourage everyone to check out the Ultra setting and see if that works for you. Performance hit for it is maybe 2-5% for modern video cards. TXAA should remove most of the jaggies and the shimmering, but it is slightly less crisp than no AA. It also enabled a few shaders that do not work without it enabled (the water for example looks much better).

The patch also includes adjustments from the 17.6.1 patch includes fixing the guild invite bug so you can properly invite a player to join your guild and includes a few input adjustments, a new loading screen, removal of VR plugin, and some animation adjustments.

Animations

  • Blending adjustments were made to the following creatures: Calprates, Jabberbull, Lurker, Mubark, Drosera, Rhinoc, Rocharus


Miscellaneous

  • Removed the VR plugins from the game. They were causing issues if you had a VR set plugged in and could reduce performance as well.
  • Introduced TXAA as an option for Anti-Aliasing at High and Ultra. Performance hit is marginal so you might want to check out Ultra and see if you prefer it over the previous options.


User Interface

  • Added a new loading screen plugin to display a loading screen between transferring between the menu and into the game.
  • Fixed an issue with not being able to click on the guild invite prompts.
  • You can now add map markers using the controller.
  • There is now a gamma value in the options to adjust the gamma if the game is too dark or bright.

Hey Joshua Halls, I have been doing a lets play of Fragmented on youtube and I wanted to share some thoughts with you on stuff to look into, First thing - Can you look into the ai of the genetic pets you obtain, they are always way too close to the character, when attacking an animal that is currently engaged with you the animation makes it seem like it is attacking you, and one other thing, is there a way to look into the inventory a bit more, its a little bugged when putting an item you are using away and it drops on the ground cause ur inventory is full, i want to see this game move forward and i just wanted to share some things ive noticed with you and some ideas, and i am curious, is there going to be bases to loot and possibly live in, the world seems kinda empty while playing offline and some people that do not play online would more than likely enjoy abandoned bases or alien ruin type things, just some friendly thoughts from an excited gamer

Well i remember from the old day long time ago where we have alot of different server on each different kinds and now i only se 1 Eu - Casul - Pve server. Nothing wrong whit that exept that server really sucks or is utdated or broken just call it what you want because it is almost impossible to play on that server from time to time.

And why : Because of al the lag and delay - when i collect resourses nothing happend and it disappear and 10 second lather the stone or trees or bush beeing added to my inventorey.

The same happend in a fight where i hitt and hitt and nothing happend exept the enemy who almost killing me and in a splitt of a second they are on another place and i hitting them on wrong direction.
Or they are dead 5 -10 feet away from me in a splitt of a second in the midt of the figth.
( that was only some few example as you know )

And what about everytimes other player enter that server i get kicked out agen and agen and agen and ......

Al this stuff / issue happend happend al the time even when i am alone at the server to exept the game do not kick me out because nobady has enter that server and when they do then you know what happend.

As you know for a long time we was able to choose between al those server and in fact i find some server who work and some who not work but as you know we al are stuck whit only 1 server now and that eu - pve - casul server is like ♥♥♥♥♥ and it is almost impossible to play there most of the time so why not uppdate your server or buy a new ones or fix it ?

Maybe that is 1 of the reason player give upp this game because of your server error , by the way the way it is now is bader than it was years ago when we talk about server problem hmm

And you know the funny thing is : eu - normal - pve do not have al this issue / only casul server eu pve got them.
If this info help then i notice it is alot of more building on the casul server.

Bud , your server sucks and the server i talk about is PvE Casul EU. It is almost impossible to play there because of al this lag and delay.
As you know everyones start there and when they doing that they build stuff and afther a time the swap server or quite the game and as you know some few of those people also happend to log in every 21 days to keep al thems stuff and that the server can not handel.

My computer is overpowered on any game at this stages and this is the first time i got serious truble whit server lag.
I also happend to have the fastest and best online connection i can buy in my contry and that ones is really good.
I also have fiber optic cable but as you know nothing help on that server so how do you expect people to stay in the game when server lag is a verry bigg issue !

And then you know we only got 1 server on each pve-pve casul normal eu ..... so we are forced to pick server who is not playable.
So long time do it gonne take before the same happend onal those other server !

Basically your server need a really kick boost maybe al of them and sorry about that.

Hi devs :) Will there be further updates for "Fragmented" or have you abandoned it to devote only to "The Repopulation"?

I don't know about Fragmented development per se, but right now, it's an entirely new team working on The Repopulation, so no ties whatsoever to Fragmented.

When will next update be released ??
and will there the Armored vehicle fixed, you can´t drive backwards with it.
or there plans to fix the vehicles generally.
To be honest with you, Nikon, I doubt so.

anymore updates ???? i noticed its on sale but thats the only time i have ever seen a post from this game is when they are advertising it for sale price, but never any updates/ bug fixes
I don't believe its likely it will see major patches, if any.
