Update 0.1 (Island Travelling and Grass Biome) - Feedback and Bug Reports
Dear pack

Yay the update is finally here.
Well, not officially yet since it needs a bit of testing first.
We would be very grateful if you could help us with this :)

What is new?

- There are now three islands instead of just one. Your tribe can migrate between them.

- Adjusted difficulty level. We decided to implement a "difficulty" (mostly influences spawn rates) as well as a "complexity" (decides which objects can be on the island) level. The first island has low complexity and low difficulty, the island to the right has high complexity and medium difficulty, the island to the top has high complexity and high difficulty.

- New field types for the grass biome

- New genes (eye colors, fur color, immunity genes)

- Option to "mark" an animal by changing its acion point color. (Click on the green action points in the ui)

- Bug fixes

If you want to help us with the testing:
> right click on Niche in your library
> click on properties
> select the beta tab
> enter “supermutation” and click check code
> select the dropdown and choose preview
> the game will update, please wait (restart Steam if the game is not updating)
> play :D

> please give us feedback and report bugs

Wow! The new version seems amazing so far!
Unfortunately, I can't travel to the top island. I haven't tested the one to the right yet, but when I try to travel to the top island, it loads endlessly. If I close the game and restart it, it brings me back to the move before I stepped on the travel stone. I'll keep testing this, but it doesn't seem like it's gonna work. Other than that, though, the new update seems really cool! I love the regrowing berry bushes, and ACORNS! Are the acorns new?? Or am I just super unlucky?? lol

this is great i only found 1 minor visuals glitch so far with the trees if you look at your creature through the tree it looks like the cretures are in the tree.

Im having the same issue as JayZX533. I tried to migrate to an island and it just kept loading endlessly. Let me know if you would like my information.

Overall I love the new update, although I think I liked the semi-transparent trees better than the current build; it's a bit confusing to tell which tile is which, and while the creatures may be visible, other objects such as berry bushes are not. Haven't traveled to the new islands yet, I'm still messing around with genes and such.

On which note - in the previous build, all fo the genes seemed to follow a simple dominance hierarchy. From my limited testing, gene dominance seems to work the same, but I noticed that if a creature has big body + normal body, it's randomized which gene is dominant and displayed as the phenotype - which I assume means they're the same dominance rank? Just curious if it's an intended change or a bug.

It seems to load indefinitely for me as well when I try migrating. I also noticed some texture spazzing as well near the waters.

Are the pheasants meant to give more than one food point? And the hawkes scared me so much the first time they attacked one of my babies. Great update the new features are cool.

Oh man, I totally forgot to say that you can now "mark" your animals by changing their action point colors. You can do so by clicking on the green action points in the ui ^^
