Known 0.4 Mountain Biome bugs (Please read before reporting)
These are the bugs that have currently been found in the test version 0.3.2 of the Mountian Biome update. Please check if the bug you are reporting is already known. Repeat reporting will be deleted. Thank you all for the reports, and happy bug hunting! :D


Floating/big heads, caused by viewing water body Fixed!

Message for failed pregnancy appearing even with successful pregnancies Fixed!

Heavy lag

Genes unlocked in different saves’ mutation menu appear in all saves

Spelling mistakes:
- A warm brise blows
- Mammut feet
- Travelling

Black snow Fixed!

Rogue males’ cold and heat resistance are way too high

Game switching to German

Tufts of grass on unexplored tiles sometimes clip into each other[imgur.com]

Alpha symbol not appearing in the family tree menu, just the blue color

When an animal is infected by a sick animal, it will falsely say it is because of double immunity

When switching to sound and scent views, the grass that is usually faded out in sight view appears completely solid and is very difficult to see your creatures through

The Balance Bear does not take damage when hit

Big Snow Apes disappear when hit

The long grass makes ice block invisible, leaving the "creature" inside visible

Floating eyeballs

Spam-clicking an action can cause an animal to perform the action more times that is has action points

Animals still taking damage when recovered from sickness

The music lags a bit

Closing the travel tiles’ options will cause the travel icon to disappear

When trying to select the upper most creatures in the family tree it often just selects the filtering functions instead

Clams can’t be collected

Swamp/cat tail grass disappears at the base of the grass behind it

When twins are born with a mutated gene, only one of them will have the yellow ring that indicates it is a mutated gene

Spit-snouted animals missing pupils in their headshots

Male animals from frozen blocks having recessive blood clotting genes

Blue hawk attacking adult animals

Snow animals being invisible until right next to a tribe animal

Rabbils staying underwater

Balance bears can be attacked without doing damage

Rocks and plants on Mountain biome not loading until animals are right next to them after playing for a longer time

Animals on top of the family tree cannot be clicked because of overlap with gene sorting

Blue hawk will flatten the snow it is flying over

Family tree not properly displaying animals' ages

Snowfall resetting after loading save

New head bug

Berries collected don't register towards unlocking berry paw

Wild creatures can be warmed by your pack

Food and nesting material displaying starting values, reverting to actual value after collecting something

Move action button disappearing. Reappears after selecting different animal

Prey attack button is one move behind the actual target

Maybe the walrus deer staying underwater as well? Except it is supposed to be that way as it is a walrus deer :D

Not too sure if that one is intentional or not, if the devs decide to tweak the rabbils, I'm sure they can do the same to the walrus deer if they want it changed ;)

Last comment on the previous page. It has been three hours and I have yet to resolve said issue by myself. When I am able too after work tomorrow I will post pictures of exactly what is going on. Please dont be mad for me posting this twice... Just I got such a wonderful set of critters on the second island...

I have not read of this issue... but one of my saves is gone. Which makes me really sad because I was just about to make the perfect snow babies ;~;
I closed out of Niche like normal, but i guess nothing saved... or whatever.

When I tried to make another island with the same name, it says I already have a save of the same name...

@Sparkius I did not know what predator the person reporting was talking about, so I copied it as they said, thanks for clarifying! I also don't know if they were talking about having enough attack or not, just that it did not take damage.

@KittyHawkGo Since this bug does not seem to be directly related to this update, I think it would be best to make a separate bug report in the Bug Report subforum. You could also email the devs with your issue, since this sounds like something that would be easier to fix from their end, considering the save file seems to still be somewhere.

Here we discuss the killer mountain and the last post of ShufflePlay contains some information I think might the useful to make it possible to play on the killer mountain :)

Berry paw won't unlock anymore since the 0.3.3 update, also wrote this in the other discussion. I don't know if only I have the issue or other people to.

bug, it fixes if you reload the game up, and i also have the berry paw not unlocking problem

Wild creatures can be warmed by your pack (It says it is warmed up by it's pack even though it's wild)

Food temporarily goes to a wrong value (20 for me) i fixed its self after food was consumed, i think it was caused by restarting the game

I saw others have the food bug as well, thanks for confirming it is an issue with this update. It seem this is the most buggy update so far haha
20 is the starting food so i could have something to do with that, like it getting display values wrong when restarting?

Each time i restart it says i have 20 food

Also on the "ability" list it says the creature has immunity to sickness F, and has the immunity A symbol, side note what does this immunity thing do? is there different illnesses now?

Babies don't age, they were twins and their mother died when they were born and the nest they were on dissapeared (Degraded), this might have something to do with it. To bad one of the babies had double immunitites, the other baby died because of him

Yes, from what others reported, the values of both food and nesting material sometimes incorrectly display their starting values.

I don't know about the ilnesses, might be a set-up for a more complex system?

I think because the babies are not supposed to age when the mother is on the nest, the game somehow falsely thought the mother was on the nest? Hard to tell what exactly caused it though, it being twins, with a dead mum, on a degraded nest as well. I think it might be worth creating a seperate bug report on that one, maybe someone else will encounter something similar that gives more insight on what triggered this.

I don´t know wether or not someone has said it before but ever since the newest "Fixing Bugs" Update I couldn´t access a save state I made within it. Instead of loading the file, the gae crashes. Please let me know if there´s a way to fix it! :steamhappy:
