Action Legion - Patch news, soundtrack and Hardcore Mode coming!
Hi everyone,

Hope you're all enjoying the game! We're preparing a patch with some bug fixes and balancing, and we could use your opinion on what you guys liked and didn't. Has anyone finished the game yet?

One thing that we had to drop out for launch was our beloved Hardcore Mode (with added achievements). It's a really punishing game mode that we didn't have time to finalize and test, but we really want it in and the plans at the moment (subject to change) are as follows:

- Limited amount of Legionnaires (50? 20? 10?)
- Limited mission timer, individual par time for each mission
- All guns allowed in every mission
- 1 extra weapon (Mater Gatling)
- Achievement for surviving the campaign with only a few deaths and under a certain time
- Achievement for surviving the campaign without a single Legionnaire dying (!!!)

What do you guys think? We'd love to hear if you found the game difficulty appropriate. Also, maybe we should have a vote on which call signs get in the HC Mode, since the amount is strictly limited? You get to choose!

Kind regards,
Antti the Designer @ Aeonic

P.S. The game soundtrack is on it's way as DLC, coming soon! :steamhappy:

I bought it last night and am only a little ways into it. While I'm enjoying it, was curious about the benefits of "leveling" troops. I don't see a skills tree per se, so I don't know if our troops just get more health points, or fire faster or something? I've already got an impressive (depressing? :steamfacepalm:) list of dead soldiers.
I have not finished the game yet, so i don't know how many legionnaires is a good amount. Maybe u implement an option where u can choose the amount?
I also wonder if it make sense to level up the soldier? Do they get better? I feel no difference... It would be cool, when u can change manually some stats like hp, speed, accuracy with every level-up. I also hope there will be more weapons, enemys and levels with different settings, maybe as an DLC-Campaign...

The Legionnaires get a slight boost in hit points and damage output with every rank up. The effects are not too transparent it seems, we'll need to add a tooltip to the promotion screen to show you the effects better.

Thanks for the ideas! A skill-tree type of level up system was a bit too cumbersome for the design, since the Legionnaires die easily and also the rookie soldiers should be able to finish even the hardest missions... Maybe a difficulty setting in the beginning to determine the amount of Legionnaires you get for the campaign is good way to go!

Level 29 is too hard for me ^^ Reduce the spawner? :-) I try it alot, but i'm always die before the bridge is down...
Beat the level by using a bug. ;-)

If not a skill system, maybe we could get an occasional temp power up/boost from the boxes we shoot up? Not anything crazy, but I think it'd be another impetus to blow up every box/crate we see.

Hi.
Thanks for this great game and update.
After Ver.1.2.0 update, I have a problem with "Mission 34: Journey To Where It Ends".
As seen in the next video, there's an invisible wall, and I can't go ahead. Could you please look into this?
Thanks you. :)

Hi, Kristian from Aeonic here. (It's a sort of national holiday here in Finland this weekend and I didn't have a chance to get the developer flair for this, so you'll have to just trust me on that.)

The problem has been looked into, identified and fixed, and the fix will be online in monday. Thanks for your patience.
