Totally worth it at that price. The game has provided me with nearly 200 hours of game time and others have into the thousands of hours of play time.

You need a DirectX 10 video card or better though - so no Windows XP.

If you love 4x space games then you'll get your $9 for sure.

Last time I tried it (1 month ago), it was still an unpolished, clunky, unplayable mess.

The price is nothing special either; just wait for the Plentiful Paradox Package[www.amazon.com] to go on offer again($9.99) as it does every few months.

If you don't already own it (though by your interested in SOTS2, I imagine you do), SOTS1 Complete is still a great game - and far better than its sequel.

Thanks for the tip re the plentiful Package, and no, I don't own SOTS1, but I do own every other game on that package. :)

I guess I'll just wait for that so I can grab both SOTS.

+1 Totally not worth it by itself at any price other than free but waiting for it bundled might be.
