"Are you planning to participate in Steam sales or Bundles?
No."
EDIT: Wish this was a pinned topic...
That is the idea the devs had. They don't go on sale so people don't have to wait for the next sale permanently.
I'll pin it though.
But at least "we" have done our part :)
You're welcome :)
feature or a pinned topic about it! How was I supposed to knoooow *I say as sarcastically as humanly possible*
They have to reward holding off, because they have no other choice, their stuff will stop selling at some point. If they are dumb enough, that will already happen before that game comes out of Early Access.
Indiepeople are cute, when they have no publisher who explains them, how the business works, and they make up their own fantasies how to earn money.
This a red flag, it's pretty likely, they will never successfully finish their game.
I don't get what you are saying.
Are you saying that if they dont participate in sales, their product will be unsuccesful?
A publisher often means "game rushed", pressure on Devs....
Factorio sold over 700000 copies without a publisher and without discounts.
Dozens of indie games with publisher and discounts sold less than 2000 copies and often were abandoned.
I suspect that the only problem is that YOU don't want to spend 20 euro for the game. Totally free to not buy it.
But please don't try to teach fake marketing lessons to a game with 700000 copies sold and which is in the 100 most played games on Steam and has 98% of positive review and one of the most amazing and not toxic at all Community.
The good news is, I think most of the people who will REALLY enjoy Factorio are the same kind who are more likely to see through this sort of marketing.
Edit: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ has to be written as bullsh!t. That sucks too :)
