Half-Life 2: Episode Two

Statistiche:
why no controller support
I would love it, if they would add controller support to Half-life games, I hate using the keyboard, it sucks, I'm constantly hitting the windows key, when trying to hit thr ctrl key. I'm not the best typer, and a controller would give me more control over the game. So why can it not be so? For me it makes the game much harder than it should be, from controlling the vehicle, to switching weapons, it's a hassel always hitting the wrong key at the wrong time. come on stream, make it so.

It has support for the xbox 360 controller, but you need to enable it in the developer console

The command is: exec 360controller
Don't have a 360, just a generic usb model, but thanks for the input.
You don't need to enable dev console! I have a 360 controller, wired, so it can plug into the PC. I've worked HL2 and games with my controller heaps of times, so I know what info to give you! Get a 360 wired xbox controller, make sure it has a usb that'll fit with your computer's usb port, plug the controller in, then start up say, Episode 2, go into options, when options open up, got to "mouse" and you'll see the option to "enable gamepad" just hit the little box and you're ready to use your controller on it! I would recommend using Big picture mode, but if your on Windows XP, it won't work, as I've had that experience.

Keep in mind, many games are controller supported, and many aren't, but those that are should always have the "enabled gamepad" or something somewhere in options, usually in mouse options.

If you ever have a little bit of dough to spend, try picking up a "gaming" keyboard (preferably a mechanical keyboard)...many of them have a button to disable the Windows key.
