Is there an easy way to split a stack of fighters?

I have a stack of 100 torpedo fighters and I want to split 30 out. Is there an easy way to do this?

You can select them like files in the folder - select first, scroll down, hold Shift and select last. Then drag them out of the window and drop.

It would be nice if there was a split option with a text field so you could type the number to split
