unplayably slow on lowest settings (ATI 7750) please help!

I just installed this game and first I thought it wasn't working at all as it was stuck on the "loading" screen at startup. Apparently, I finally waited long enough and it loads. I autodetect performace to Ultra/High/High. It takes forever to load a level and I don't need to check the frames because its easily in the low single digits. I set everything to lowest and it loads forever again and still runs like this. It's almost like it's in software mode or something. I have an AMD 3.6ghz quadcore, 8g DDR3 and an ATI Radeon 7750. By no means top of the line but surely something is wrong, some please help if you can. Thank you.

If you have a Bulldozer (AMD FX) processor, you probably need to update your motherboard BIOS.

I had that exact same thing - once. The very first time I started the game everything ran fine but after some clicking in the Key/Mouse options (mouse speed, to be precise) the framerate was suddenly down to a stutter. Deleting all user files, checking integrity of game files and going through the auto hardware detection again fixed it. Never happened again, and I've been toying around with all sorts of options a lot.

Thanks for the comments guys, ChrisW you were right. I didn't update my BIOS yet, instead I found a program called "Orochi" that fixes it temporarily until I'm up for flashing. Runs fine now, thanks again!

Had the same problem.. Only i went to a Blue screen.. Updated Bios and now its fine.. :-)

Just commenting as a reference for others. I finally did update my BIOS and, yeah, I no longer need that DOS program. All is well.
