Serious Sam 3: BFE
Computer locks up
My computer locks up every time I try to play the single player. I've never had any problems with this game until the steam client update on 2/14/2012.

Specs
OS: Win 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel 3570k
GPU: 7850 crossfire, catalyst 13.1 driver
RAM: 16GB DDR3

I posted the two logs where the game freezes and locks up my computer and I have to restart the computer.

If your computer is locking up completely, that would suggest a hardware problem such as overheating or a poor power supply. This particular game will stress your system like no other.
It's not an overheating issue. The temps of my gpus are stable, I have 10 fans, and the crash happens after I'm only 1 minute in.

Serious Sam is hardly stressful compared to my other games.

I was running the game perfectly fine the day before the Steam client update. Stupid Linux update :(
I verified the cache 3 times. It says all files are validated, but then it downloads 11.9mb update each time. Just more mystery to this weird problem lol
I updated my DirectX files and the game works fine now.
