Christmas in Cairo achievement

In level 1 there is supposed to be a Christmas tree in front of the museum but all I got is a plain palm-tree. How do I get this achievement? Does the Cristmas tree come with a Christmas update or something? Help.

During Christmas Period that tree will appear. Not during the rest of the year before / after.

Try change the date ;)
Edit: Yep, as expected. Just move the date to 24 of December and disable internet connection.

:) I was surprised too.
For me SS3 was hanging when internet enabled. Probably some date sensitive application prevented SS3 from launch.

To bring the discussion back from the dead! Is it still possible to get this achievement out of christmas season? The method described above doesn't work (I moved the date to 25 dec 2013 and I got a validation error,in 25 dec 2014 the game runs, but there is no christmas tree).

Nope, the last winter there was an update to this event, and that also came with a fix to this exploit.

If I understood right, they unlock this achievement every year on christmas.
