I think you are going to have to put at least a bit of work into making that game work on current systems.
It would probably be easier (and cheaper) to simply buy an OG Xbox and a copy of Mafia for it. Probably total cost of about $40. You can convert an OG Xbox to hi-def pretty easily as well, making that a truly winning scenario.
