I've been playing this game since 2018 in beta and I'm absolutely in love with it.
The character designs are so cute each character having a unique colour palette that's distinct from the rest. (Only exception is a sibling you meet later but their siblings they're going to look alike) The environments are simple and appealing being able to run on my lower end device for years now, and the 1.5 content having a beautiful world and colour palette.
My only complaint is that I cannot befriend the murmurs because they are definitely my favourite characters design wise and the small lore tid-bits about the Murmur Consortium makes me so curious about everything in this world.

Also I'm Maximilian #1 hater. He knows what he did.

While I do love this game and I would normally recommend it, it just takes way too much processing power to run for a seemingly simple game. Even on the lowest settings, my computer can't run it. My PC is about 8 years old so I know it's also on my end but it didn't used to run this awfully. I'll revise my review once I get better equipment I suppose. Cute game otherwise.
