This was a good post nuclear apocalypse CRPG, honestly if this had come out before Fallout we would probably be associating the genre to this game instead of that one.

A true top down RPG. love this game

I had a couple of hours of fun with this game, but I feel that I can't recommend it only because it's badly balanced. My ideal way of playing a CRPG is to play the game without saving before each encounter, which you'd have to do in this game if you want to progress and not have your party wiped. In my limited time playing the game I can say that I have yet to encounter a situation/quest I could resolve without combat, and after a couple of close encounters my party was finally wiped. Having the option to retreat, or sneak by enemies would give a bit more leeway in getting through the game, and make the best of from bad situation, but that's not the case.

If you don't build out your party, the stock provided one is useless (died with it in less than two hours of gameplay), and even if you build a better party that progresses through the main 2 quests, in the long run it won't be viable unless you're checking out guides for ideal builds (removing any form of immersion from the game).

Still an amazing game...
