no mouse
whenever i open garrys mod i cant see my mouse does anyone know how to fix this please help

What version of Windows/Mac/Linux (lol, forget the last) are you running?
What's the history of said install?
What's the history of the Gmod install?
Has this started recently, or are you just starting to play the game?

I also have that problem. I have a Windows 7. i also dont know about 2 & 3. i just got it yesterday.

The history of your Windows install, such as
I installed it off a disc 6 months ago, I installed all updates and had some trouble with midi output that I fixed with a soundfont driver. I have not unplugged it while it was accessing the HDD, but sometimes when it would get seriously stuck on a LiveCD.

Well, Vista could be part of the problem.

I downloaded it two days ago for computer. Never had to get updates. Only got a few addons.

If Gmod won't start because you turned off pointer trails or your computer does other illogical things, then you need to reinstall Windows.

But with trails it still doesnt work. Or my steam!

Yes. It will work with no trails. I can see my mouse!!!
