Same here, this has happened with other games given for free by valve at some point. Alien Breed 2, which I got free from christmas promotion, is also missing today.

just click install guys, it should come up and start to load, if you havent already clicked it, this will not work of course, but I got really easily.

Yes... We know it reappears if we install it. The problem is it disappears when it's not.

Did you look at SteamApps> common or user>?

The problem is not with the game installation. The game just doesn't appear in the games library.

I have this same problem. Yes, the game is still in my library, but I can't see it unless I got to the store. I don't want to do this every time I want to download and play it.

I've got a similar issue. Had it installed on my computer since day one, and it stopped being "my game." It's still available to play, but only because now it's listed as a shared game by one of my friends. Already filed a ticket, fingers crossed for a fix/explaination.

And it's not the only game. I have the same issue with L4D2. I think it affects games we got for free through promotions.

Yep, I have the same feeling that it's a client issue that affects the promotional free games. I can see my L4D2 since I actually bought it. Let's hope valve fixes this as soon as possible.
