Prey

Prey

Best IDtech 4 game.
This game is too me by far the best of the bounch that used the ID tech 4 engine.

Surpassing DooM3 and Quake 4 easily.

I guess i know why it didnt do all that well.. still wth didnt it sell better?

Sad =/

My guess is poor marketing. I didn't hear anything about this game back in the days.
The "new" Prey looks cool, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth due to the name.

Probably was the best SP about MP only Quake Wars was good.

I like them all Id Tech 4 games (except Brink).

Doom 3 (August 2004), Quake IV (October 2005), Prey (July 2006), Quake Wars (Sep 2007), Brink (May 2011) Brink was the last one done with Id Tech 4 a few months later Rage (October 2011) was released.

The fun thing is that Id Tech 4 games look better than Id Tech 5 ones.

Even nowdays Prey 2006 works pretty well in Windows 10 Creators Update and I haven't found bugs. (Quake IV in comparison is full of graphical and sound glitches)

Sad to see people forgetting one game that used idTech4.

Wolfenstein (2009) - Raven Software

I did not like it alot when i played it back in 09.

What bothered me was the small areas in the city hub wich was just to small for a resistence to hide.

One second you would fight the whole damn street and then get behind a door to safety.

wolfenstein 2009 was cool but not as cooler as Prey. What really makes Prey so special for me is .. just all; gameplay, stories, graphics, sound effects, all the futuristic design, also the soundtrack by Jeremy Soule . They are all balanced so well.

My texture mods are literally at the breaking point of the engine with 4GB patch (Up to 24GB). I also have DOOM 3 done. Going to do Quake 4 next.

John Carmack also knows they exist for the straighforward reason, its a great demonstrator for what his engine is capable of actually pushed to the limits.
