Bugs (and fix) after game update (14-Dec-2015)... (BEFORE YOU BUY)

BUG! Textures issues after this Steam update (not present before):

-Buggy shadows on faces (head, face, neck)
-Water puddles flickering
-very slow performance

To reproduce the bug you have to set video settings to ultra with 'Settings/Video/Advanced/Detailed faces' option on.

It's a game bug, no broken install. Why this useless comments by users who never tested what others said in the first place?

texcture issue is old... got it before :(
ATI Crimson Driver Update seems to make it a bit better, but this game is buggy crap :/

Never seen before this update... especially the puddles in the rain now flickering a lot.
Faces additional shadowing (Settings/Video/Advanced/Detailed faces option) causes the weird bug with colors for the NPC faces...

I'm afraid the new exe SecuROM-free is a regression version with old bugs already fixed...

It's a clear bug in the "new" exe. Definitely.
I'm afraid they removed SecuROM yes, but from an early ArcaniA.exe... The game was patched at least 3 times after first release and this "new" exe is actually old IMHO.

I am having the same facial shadow glitch and flickering puddle glitch problem. I am using a nvidea GPU so the comments about ATI crimson driver is useless to me.

That's really grand, after all these years i venture into playing this Gothic-light despite all the bad reviews/comments and then a new patch makes it even worse. Thanks a bunch...

They removed SecuROM and deployed the wrong ArcaniA.exe... probably a very old version before fixes.

I prefer the green face and puddle flicker to the completely blacked out faces and blacked out cutscenes I was getting before. Still, game is so poorly made, and not a Gothic. It's a shame what happened here.

Funny, isn't it? Except for a few names and faces they obviously tried to, well, go downmarket. Jowood, the original publisher (now bankrupt), wanted to make more money with this franchise, instead they only put off their fanbase. Smart move!

Btw, I have glitches in puddles, faces, shadows in cutscenes, as well! And although the game doesn't look too good nowadays anymore, it still heats up my GPU (GTX970) to 67°C, i.e. more than Dying Light or Far Cry 4, both almost maxed out!
