Guides for SpellForce 1-2
Are there any good/comprehensive strategy guides for SpellForce 1 & 2?

Yes, I did see the GameFAQs guides (especially by eolsunder), and was curious are they valuable (from the game veterans' p.o.v.).

Vissavald. What do you want exaclty, the easiest or the most fun way to play?
The thing is if you want to play it super easy, then just skill heavy and light warcraft and max strengh, mobility accurcy and health.
The strong aboiut this skill tree is that you can ignore all magic talents and just go for effective stats.
The Probably strongest skill tree is to combine black magic with heavy warcraft and just one point in light warcraft cause beserk is a pretty strong spell. The good is you are super tanky and with nekromancy you can use the spells lifesteal to regen life and even use youzr tankiness even more. Moreover with the Death tree of black magic there is a spell which kills all enemies who hafe just low health and burst(dmg in short time) spells to get rid of range units.

BUT MEMBER THIS: this game can be solved with every consequent skill order and probably even with none. Take the most fun way for you and experiment. Spellforce is not Dark souls or a 80s- jump and run. #
BUT: dont take mind magic its pretty useless and so pretty unfun.

But the easiest way is just go for warcrafts and ignore magic, cause with autoattacks you can kill every opponennt, some are magic resistent etc.
And the most efficient to my opionion is max heavy warcraft first with one ppoint in light warcraft on lvl 2 for beserk and get black magic when you cant skill warcraft.

At least, ofc focus on one ikind of weapon its not sensefull to learn multiplie weapons.

Well, I'd want to find some complex guides that analyze all parts of gameplay: hero classes, stats, skills, spells, character building and progression, factions, units, buildings, comparing stuff and advising strategies/tactics. Walkthroughs are OK but they are rather individual, subjective ways and patterns.

ah i forgot one thing about the heavy warcraft and black magic combo, heavycraft gives you battlecry with which you can make your skeletons strong that you summon with necromancy. But know that the skeletons cant be controlled directly, they just follow you, so run into a fight and before you get into melee combat turn back, then you skeletons will get the focus and fight with you, if you just run omn the enemy you will have to wait 4 secs till your skeletons come cause they move a bid slower than you.

oh
ehm dont know that much take the class where yougot the best rune (lvl)

but welp the blackj magic heavy warcraft combo is super strong. make as much skeletons you can cause they will cost mana to stay alive and baff them with battlecry. If you wanna abuse the game you dont take monuments and just use your heros and the skeletons and kill the base before its activated. (the spawns activsate if you activate a monument.
BUT DONT DO THIS its boring and kills the game.
And at least even on hard the game is pretty forgiving. You dont need to abuse it.

Its not draksouls or a 80s acarde jump and run ^^.

Sorry bud, but I have been looking for this myself and there is no place that has all of it in one place.

I find bits and pieces here and there, what each factions can make on this site, what the unit stats are on this site so on and so forth.

As for more detailed instructions all there is to go on are OLD OLD forum posts(like near the time spellforce 1 was made OLD).I THINK they are still valid and useful, though I am not sure.

Yeah, I've already realized that his guides are probably the best one can find. Safe only maybe Prima official strategy guide for SF1 Order of Dawn I've found on Emuparadise (I think Prima wouldn't be too upset for this, it's 2003 year game after all).

I think a wiki is a better format than a single-author guide, tbh, since multiple contributors could build a much broader knowledge base. I'd be willing to contribute to a wiki, if there was one set up. The current spellforce wiki has virtually no wiki pages, and as such is basically useless.

It has basic unit stats but thats about it.

Yeah a wiki would be nice but I think spellforce is one of those obscure cult classics types of game, hell I bet most new players only know of it because of spellforce 3.
