Laggy Controls
This game seems awesome but the controls are too laggy.
Megaman style game need lightning fast response but the
delay between pressing the jump or shoot button often results
in missing the mark, getting hit or missing falling off the edge
I was trying to jump from. It just came out so hopefully a patch will
follow shortly. I want to fully enjoy this game the way it's meant
to be enjoyed.

I'm using a PS3 controller with xbox
Controller emulation.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.00 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
2 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Windows 7 64bit Professional

three things:
1. Are you using any sort of WIRELESS control? If so, switch to wired and try again
2. If wired, does the delay happen in Windows' joystick/gamepad test too? If so, you may need to do some REGEDIT modification to reduce the delay.
3. Have you tried disabling Steam overlay and boosting the game's priority through Task manager? Sometimes the overlay may slow the response in games or cause a variety of issues. Boosting a game's priority often fixes any delay issue.

Its very unresponsive makes bosses impossible for me, don't think the game has any upgrades so doing another lvl first won't help.
Got this game for free but its a even bigger disapointment than Mighty no9, I guess this will be added to the long list of games I will never finish(in this case not even a single lvl)

1. It is a wired controller.
2. Not about to mess with REGEDIT unless there is something very specific.
3. I have not. I'll see if that affects it as well as boosting priority in Task Manager.

I've never had problems with lag for any other game with controller.
So seems like it would be something in this game that causes the problem and not
anything else. Hopefully the suggestions you gave me will help.
That would be a great workaround but I do hope they fix whatever the game is
doing to cause the lag in an update.

And I'm back. Changing the game''s process priority and turning off Steam Overlays did not help. This game's responsiveness is still very laggy.

It's like a 0.4 second delay between button press and response. Which is very crappy for this kind of game.

Devs. Please fix!

I don't have any controller lag trouble with any of these games:

Broforce
NOT A HERO
Super Crate Box
Super Time Force Ultra
Risk of Rain
TowerFall Ascension
Shovel Knights
VVVVVV
Megabyte Punch
LUFTRAUSERS
Oniken
Super House of Dead Ninjas
Super Combo Man
Titan Souls
OlliOlli
Outland
Sine Mora
One Finger Death Punch
Castle In The Darkness
Phantom Break: Battle Grounds
Hotline Miami
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
Escape Goat
Escape Goat 2
BloodRayne: Betrayal
The Joylancer: Legendary Motor Knight
Freedom Planet
Spalunky
La-Mulana
Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition
Devil May Cry 4
Double Dragon Neon
NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst
The Legend of Korra
Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition
FINAL FANTASY XIII
all LEGO games
Ori and the Blind Forest
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extended

Slight delay while jumping. Shooting seems fine

Sure, if you're into that stuff.

Huh?
Oh, and jump lag seems to have dissappeared when playing Train level (maybe earlier, didn't notice)
I don't feel any delay. Game feels pretty much the same as it did on the 3ds minus the load screen. Probably might want to buy a new computer or new controller.

No delay here, using a PlayStation 4 controller with software to emulate an Xbox 360 controller. It would help the developers if you listed exactly what kind of controller you were trying to use.

Good point.

PS3 controller with Xbox360 controller emulation

360 plugged controller no emulation Laptop GT70 Geforce 880m Intel I7 4800m 12gig ram I see no bottleneck for a 2d game with 8bit looks.
Only other game I have ever experienced it was boma-naraka-sura kickstarter demo.

It is probably just the way your computer works. Nothing software can fix when it is hardware functioning the way it does. You've never noticed it with the other games you've been playing until now. Because you've always been playing games with some lag. Probably should get a new computer.

I think we should close this thread as it is either user error from bad hardware selection or user error from having extra junking running in the background. Either way user error for certain. Close thread.

I don't appreciate trolls. Please don't post insulting comments.
I'm addressing a real lag issue here that I want fixed so I can enjoy the game.
I'd rather receive a response from devs than from people who make a lot of assumtions
who want to try to sound like they know what they're talking about.

[EDIT]
Seriously, if you're not having lag issues that's great. But I am so unless you are here to help solve the issue or a dev who can look into it please don't post. Go enjoy the game instead.
You're not helping anyone. You're only adding to my frustration with the issue.

I did already respond in other thread, but:
I had zero issues with 144Hz monitor, but when I plugged in my 60Hz plasma...oh boy, almost one second input lag. Unplayable.
Problem basically is really bad implementation of vsync. From GPU control panel either turn it off completely or force it with maximum pre-rendered frames value put to 1.

It would help if dev would implement vsync disabling option and windowed mode :p
