Xbox gamepad didn't work?

Hello,

I bought ff7 today.
It's awesome :3 but my gamepad didn't work :(
In the launcher settings I can adjust the gamepad buttons, but ingame I can only use my keyboard. Can anyone please help me? :)

You could try using programs like xpadder which you can buy and joytokey

my wireless xbox controller did not work, it was greyed out. But the wired one did.

I know xpadder, but I don't want to use it if the game itself had support for the xbox controller.
And I have the wireless version :(

I have wired controller and it works. But only in game, not in start menu.

my 360 controller is working BUT if i get the first message -InGame- about the "Controls" i need to press X [OK] and after my 360 is working. i use [standard win7 xbox360 Controller Driver]

Set it as your preferred device in Windows game controller settings, the game should pick it up then (worked for my wired xbox pad)

My wireless Xbox controller works perfectly!

Just make sure it's turned on before you start the game up and make sure your pc has the controller recognised in control panel/hardware/controllers/advanced!

Hm... didn't work :(
My wireless x360 controller is on befor I start the game.
I can change the button configuration in the launcher, but this didn't helped...
@Von Adder: Could you plz make a screenshot from the menue that you mean? My windows is german and I didn't find the path you said (control panel/hardware/controllers/advanced) :/

It has partial pad support, some will work, others won't, as said, just use Xpadder or Joy2Key or what have you.

Mine didn't work either but I turned it on after I started the game. Closing out the game turning on the wireless controller then starting the game and it worked.
