Hard to Be a God

DxAssertion Failed! ...?
Everytime i click to play this game, it gives me a DxAssertion Failed right when it loads up it jumps straight to my desktop and gives me that message; this is with admin rights too. PLS help, and thanks :)

For me it Works with Vista campatible mode and (I don't know if it's right, i use German Windows Version) Deactivate Visual Design and Deactivate Desktop Composion(??)

Deactivate Visual Design and Deactivate Desktop Composion?, how do i go about doing that? is this a solution or a theory?, thanks though :D

Right click on Hard to be a God in your Steam Library, last Option. Then Local Data and then search Local Data (The first Option). Then Rightclick on AWE.exe. Last Option (It is something like Options), compatibility and there are these Options to choose.

I just fixed it with compatibility mode! windows 5... wow that's old.. but hey, it's working, and i couldn't thank you enought buddy; thanks LuckyTrixx. :steamhappy:

I'm having the same problem. I assume you meant Windows 95? Tried that, didn't help. Did you do anything else?

yes i did, i kept on going with other options,as far as changing the compatibility to different windows, and next thing i started noticing that, that alone did not work, everytime i restarted the pc, so i just kept changing it and changing it, and it just kept working with different other compatibilities.

I came to an understaning that it'll sometimes work with windows 5 and other compatibilities, and that's it, hope this helps.
