Cheat section question
I have questions about the cheat reporting section. It has been explained that when the report disappears it has been reviewed and hidden to protect the person reporting the video.

My first question is when the threads are just locked and not deleted/hidden does that mean there was not enough eveidence in video to justify a ban?

The next question is there any way the MOD/GM that hid/deleted the thread message the person reporting the video that the video is under investigation?

A lot of player that are helping the GMs keep clean and cheat free servers feels like there is nothing being done or a limited amount of actions taken on behalf of the cheat reporting section.

We changed the CR system a bit since yesterday, in order to protect our users and prevent the accused from moving GBs/items to other accounts etc.

This is how it works right now,

Sufficient evidence
1. When I take care of reports I close them for few minutes (keep them visible) in order to allow the cheat report submitter to know that the required action will be taken shortly.

2. After few minutes, I hide the thread and move it to GM's inspection.

3. A GM comes to a final decision and takes action.

Insufficient evidence
1. We visit your report.

2. Review the evidence few times if necessary.

3. In case the evidence isn't solid enough / quality not good etc. We delete the report.

We could also close it and let OP know that the evidence is insufficient but that way we would need to risk the players that make an effort to report cheaters, which is something we're trying to avoid of.

I completely understand that and truly appreciate your concern of protecting the reporting party. The reason I am asking is because I made a report last night before I went to bed and when I woke up this morning it showed that I have comments on that topic but it the topic had been removed. I was hoping for a more secure way of letting the reporting person know insteaad of commenting on the topic then closing shortly after.

Again thanks for all the help and support you are providing everyone Degano, Adonis and everyone else that is helping to keep Knight a fun and enjoyable playing experience by reporting these cheaters!

Keep up the good work.

It happened again without any explanation. If I do not get an answer I will start making Tickets regarding the cheat videos being reported and specify I would llke a response to ensure my time is not being wasted and make sure KS is a bannable offense SINCE NO ONE will give a solid answer here.

You need to understand that we don't have many features here on Steam forums, so making it available only for the original posters isn't possible.

You can send me a message on Steam and ask regarding your own report, there's no problem with asking regarding your own reports.

You can submit a ticket as well but I guess it would just be a lot easier to just send me a PM an ask.

Thanks I didnt know I could send private messages to MODS. I will do that from now on. What type of info do you need from in the PM?

At least, a single nickname from your report and you have me on friend list as I can see, you can simply msg me.

If I wanted to avoid private messages, I would've ignored all the friend invitations to my Steam's friend list.
But as you can see.. :)
