Few words from totally blind player
Hello everyone,

I'm totally new in to BB series but played GG long time ago.

Yes, I'm totally blind and some of you can recognise me from other places. I'm playing games from many, many years and this is what makes me happy a lot! :)

What I wanted to say directly to the developers, if their reading though this forums:
The best from your games ever! It's the first installment of BB which contains full stereo panning and high quality sound design. Fully voiced story modes and tutorials are just amazing as I can't see the screen. [Stylish mode is cheap but yeah, better to learn everything in my own LOL]

There's only one missing feature which will enable the game to the blind community fully: a way to read the menus, choices and subtitles. There are several ways to code this pretty easily. First one is which it's used in Skullgirls, just copying the text to the clipboard where our screen readers can read from. Another, way much better is to use a special library called Tolk. You can find more about it here:
http://davykager.com/projects/tolk/

So, at the end, anybody can say something more about the abyss mode? is there a lot of walking and exploring as I'm affraid it can be trucky to do this for the blind but... who knows?

Thanks for reading and hope to see you in the online mode! [Needs to practice to be not a noob, haha. :)

From first I was thinking, how would you be able to read this? But then again, you mentioned specialty systems from which you can hear, so yeah.

The menus are short and simple, its not unlike CT or CSE's menus, but it works and gets the job done, also for Abyss, its not like an RPG mode of some kind (even though actually, you get items and buffs for your character played), the way abyss mode works is that its kinda like Guilty Gear X2's survival mode, but with items. The further you progress in "Depth", the further you reach the end. There are 10 different abyss areas within different lengths and difficulties. Along with an infinite depth area, provided you clear all 10 areas, which you'll need a lot of luck to pull off.

Either ways, good luck...

Thanks for the explanation. Sadly this is using the same annoying cursor as in the character select screen, why? no idea their used this method instead of traditional.

Kinda doable but really, really hard!
Are there any magic modders on the stage? hopefully or, I'm sure there's a way to make something with this cursor with good modding / hacking skills. Actually, with these skills it will be possible to add full accessibility for us for sure. :)

How do you play? You can't tell the distance of characters and projectiles from the game's sound...can you? I can't really understand a blind person would fight against Rachel or Lambda, or play as them without being able to determine the positions of the enemy and your projectiles.

Actually BB: CP is much better regarding sound design. Ofcourse it's not that good like Skullgirls for example but yeah, doable.
Everything is in full stereo so you can hear where the things are.

yea...just going to push that doubt button

Yeah...The only thing I doubt is...how are you gonna handle fighting Take-Mikazuchi? That's gonna be a real problem though. >.>

Yeah, you'll probably have to hear what the "Imperator" says when TM will know what attack it might do, of course, there would be a full-screen distortion you'll have to counter back by hitting it plenty, and also by evading its beam to a safespot. So yeah, that's much i can say though.
