Easter Egg Hunt!
This discussion is meant to be a place to talk about finding Easter Eggs in Ori. I will post what Easter Eggs have yet to be found, and I would love it, devs, if you were to help fill this list occasionally.

Currently unfound:
Star Wars
Laputa

Good luck, fellow friends!

Star Wars may have been found on top of sorrow pass. A screenshot exists of a ship flying into frame. It is unknown what causes this to trigger as of now. I have personally witnessed this and haven't been able to reproduce it.

I think i've found what you are looking for, not 100% sure though since I'm not a huge star wars fan. I was on my like third or so playthrough, reached the top of sorrow pass and then I saw this ship slowly flying in the distance from left to right. It doesn't resemble any of the ships in the franchise that I remember but as I said, not a huge SW fan.

I have no idea what triggers the ships appearance, I tried looking for it in several LP vids on Youtube but it didn't appear in any. It appeared each time I reloaded my save in sorrow pass so it can't be completely random.
Edit: Oh hey that was your thread. I'm down to look for the remaining Easter eggs. Thomas since I know you're prowling here... YOUR SECRETS WILL BE REVEALED

Cool. Yeah, I doubt that's the Star Wars Egg. It's definately an Easter Egg, but it's labelled as "Airborn Pino". Unless there's something in Star Wars that I'm not aware of, that's something else. If you want to team up to search, I would be more than happy with that. Thomas, if you want to reveal what this ship is, please respond with a reply, email, tweet, or smoke signal (morse code would be best).

EDIT: It's "Airborn," not "Airborne." GG autocorrect.
So to summarize for others
(as you and another poster in your thread has likely already stated)
The Easter egg on top of sorrow pass is a reference to "Airborn - Piño's Journey."
-The game file (as discovered by WillTheGameDesigner) is called "Airborn Pino"
-Simon kopp, the artist responsible for a large portion of "Airborn - Piño's journey" artwork found on the game's promotional sites, also did a ton of Ori art such as the top of sorrow pass, the area where the Easter egg can be triggered.
-Airborn Studios is the company that did a lot of the art in the final game. It obviously shares the name "airborn"
-Simon Kopp also is listed as a member of Airborn Studios

I'd say that's pretty much confirmed.
Now I'm left wondering what the Star Wars Easter egg could be

Basically it. This Star Wars Easter egg is seriously bothering me. I would love a hint, Thomas, if you're here. Like wither it's out in the open or in a hidden area, background/foreground, audio/visual, etc. I think we need a little bit of help here.

We'll reveal that at some point when there's more stuff to talk about again :D There's also a Laputa Reference nobody found yet I think :) The Rainbow Dash requires a button entry at a certain point in the game, it's something we'll let you guys figure out :)

Sweet. Glad to hear there's a Ghibli reference! But what "more stuff" do you mean exactly? New game information, or more references found?

Nice summary! I think this was a collab between Simon and Johannes, Max might have had his hands in it as well. The vessel is called Sparrow and sittin on top is Piño a character of a mod we once developed, and never turned into a full game. As we are just better at making pretty pictures for games/film etc than developing games ourselves. I would still love to work a bit more on the universe but there is only so much time at hand.

Interesting how often one can write Airborn wrong in one post tho :D

Good luck with finding the rest of the eastereggs!

Also, another discovery I found. There's a weird face on one of the doors in Mount Horu. What in the world is it?

I sometimes use Debug mode, but only to check if I actually have found an Easter egg. I would like to find them without any extra tools

Same. Not sure what "button entry at a certain point" means, so we'll just have to keep exploring.
