Eggdurance?
Twice now, I've set aside a little over an hour to play, in order to get the Eggdurance achievement. I play more than sixty minutes, and never spend more than a minute at a time idle. However, it won't unlock.

Is there more to this? Do I have to spend an hour in one level? Do I have to avoid using the escape menu or restarting the level?

Thanks!

I achieved it the first go. I did not exit to the menu, and I don't think I spent an hour in a level, I rewound a lot, though. I hope that helps.

Okay, thank you, I'll try not opening the menu. Using rewinds is slower than restarting for mistakes made at the beginning, but it sure beats waiting around in one level.

By the way, did you die at all? I only ask because a different menu opens when you die, and I might need to avoid that one as well.

I died a lot ;-)

Hmm. I just tried again, died and rewound a lot, but didn't hit the escape key or go more than a minute without doing something. No luck. I wonder why I can't get this one ....

I just spent over an hour in on level, just pacing, to eliminate whatever variable is preventing me from getting the achievement. And it didn't even work! This is frustrating .... There's got to be something bugged up. It shouldn't be this hard.

On the plus side, I accidentally found I could make poor Toki Tori dizzy.

Ah, well, in the end I think it's not worth your time or the effort. Just have some fun. ;-)

Part of what's fun for me is getting 100% completion. It probably has to do with my OCD. I'm going to keep trying, though less aggressively. I'll just only play Toki Tori when I have a full hour to set aside for the game. When I don't, I'll just play other games, such as EDGE or RUSH.

Ah, I hope that playing/thinking will make it better and not worse and that the achievement will come in time!

AN HOUR AND FIFTY MINUTES!!! That's how long it took to get this achievement to unlock. What tipped me of to trying for two or three hours was an achievement in EDGE. It took sixteen seconds to unlock an eight-second achievement. The EDGE thing I think was just a miswording, as you can see the seconds tick up in EDGE. But it made me think about when I got the Cold Feet achievement in Toki Tori. It took way too long to unlock (though I quit counting seconds at the point it was supposed to). It felt like it took about double the time it should have. I think Toki Tori uses its own clock instead of the system clock. When Toki Tori isn't running at the intended speed (for example, on a slow system), the Toki Tori clock runs slow, prolonging the duration of the wait.
I did for over 2 hours and gave up... It's ridiculous how I can solve most of the puzzles yet I can't get the playtime achievement.
