Discount Shenanigans: Developer Response Needed
It *appears* based on individual customer experience and no actual information, that there will always(?) be a discount on Titans for existing owners of PA. The discount shows an end date of one month, which may be a limitation of the Steam store, but so far the discount has been immediately renewed.

Devs, please: Is this discount actually permanent, will it stop cold after six months, will it be gradually reduced to zero over a year? What. Is. Happening.

I believe jables said they where looking for a better upgrade option for after the 18th of November.
I agree this is important.

The update is intended to be a permenant 66% off for all previous PA owners.

Steam suggested that the best way to do this is with a timed discount, so UberEnt could still do normal discounts without issue of discount stacking.

Though there's issues with it...

Steam is messing with or lying to Uber if this is true. Other game companies have created permanent, selective discounts which work fine with other discounts for their previous players (FROM Software's Scholar of the First Sin immediately comes to mind). I smell baloney from someone. Regardless, allowing previous owners of Titans to keep the discount for longer than a month is ok in my books.

If this is true. It's definitely on Uber's end.

These guys desperately need a public relations rep.

Jables...is...their PR rep.

He's quite good at his job, but he's only one guy...

Still working on making this permanent. We're talking with Valve now using the Dark Souls example. Thanks for pointing that one out. Seems like it could work perfect for it depending on how it was set up on their side.

Working with them now to get it set up. I do try to read here as much as possible, but we don't have a PR or Community person currently, so we're not here enough :(

Okay the discount should be set up and visible on the TITANS page. Now that we have a proper upgrade process, we've put PA back up in the store as well.

If you notice any issues or aren't seeing it even though you own PA, let me know please :)

Purchase upgrade, £10.59, no timers in evidence. Nice work, and so, so much less fear, uncertainty and doubt.

One tiny issue with this approach, the upgrade doesn't show on the Steam wishlist. Titans is displayed at full price, and thus way further down the Order by Price listing than it should be. That's something Valve need to fix, ideally.

Looks good.

Jables on the Planetary Annihilation store page you should add Titans to the section

Packages that include this game
Buy Planetary Annihilation - Digital Deluxe Commander Bundle

This upgrade costs 1 dollar more in Russian store (not sure about other stores) than price of this game on special sale for PA owners. And that's kinda a lot for me. I'll buy it anyway, but I'm just saying.

One might argue that you never had a PR or community person, judging by the lack of positive PR and the lack of a community.
