Is this still on track for the end of this year?

We'll be looking at ports after we finish up the last planned characters, so I would expect announcements on those late Spring as of now.

cool! great to hear. Thx
Awesome thanks for the update!
I moved to a Linux-only computer after I bought the game, it would be nice to be able to play it again. I'm looking forward to any future announcement. =)

Looks like we've gone from Spring 2018 to late 2018 now, and may not even include online. :/
He said to look for an ANNOUNCEMENT late spring. That's not the same thing as a release. Jesus some of you guys are ridiculous
Sorry that it's ridiculous that we want to be able to play this game on our computers without resorting to OSes that we don't want to or can not legally use.

I was clearly talking about some posters' inability to read being ridiculous. Which up until now didn't include you. Congratulations, now it does! Your illiteracy is certifiably ridiculous

Tangentially, the notion that you "can not legally use" windows is absurd to the point of hilarity. Unless you're the subject of an injunction because you were sued by microsoft, the only thing stopping you is you. So I'll repeat: Jesus, some of you are ridiculous

The hostility is really uncalled for.

We've been burned too many times by games that promise ports and then keep delaying them until they becomes vaporware. Pardon me for being a bit touchy because I'm sick and tired of seeing this happen again and again.

pointing out that you're being ridiculous and not even reading the responses you're getting is not hostility. Attempting to misrepresent my posts to excuse your misrepresentation of dev posts is similarly ridiculous.

You haven't "been burned" by anything. They said they'd look into it. That's not a hard promise. Given the fickle nature of the linux user base coupled with the fact that you represent 0.26% of all steam users, you shouldn't be surprised that you don't get many ports.
I'm talking about all the other games that have done the same thing. Maybe you need to work on your reading comprehension.

And, if you read carefully, I pointed out you haven't been burned *here* so your projection is uncalled for. I then elaborated on *why* many games don't find it worthwhile to port games to linux in an attempt to help you understand why many ports don't come to fruition.

But apparently you just want to be angry at every game developer ever because of your choice to use a largely-unsupported OS. I won't make the mistake of trying to help you again. Cheers.
Linux being a minorty doesn't mean it's okay for devs to get our hopes up by announcing ports and never delivering. If they don't think it's worth it then they should've said that in the first place.

I'm not angry at "every game developer ever", I'm angry at the ones that lie. Which has happened too many times to count, leaving me bitter and jaded and ready to assume the worst any time I hear of any delay.

And piss off claiming you're "trying to be helpful" when all you've done is berate me for my unforgivable crime of being a tad frustrated. Very helpful, thanks a ton.

So to summarize:

• You erroneously conflated an announcement with a release date
• You misrepresented a post pointing that out as "hostile"
• You projected the actions of other game developers onto the RoA devs
• You excused your misconduct on the basis that you're angry at other developers
• You told me to " piss off" for pointing out linux users are both fickle and 0.26% of steam users, and as such are not a highly sought-after demographic on steam
• You "quoted" things I never said in an attempt to continue being angry
• You dismissed every legitimate criticism of your comments and behavior as "berating" so you could go on ranting

Amazing. Perhaps I should have gone with "petulant" over "fickle."
