Cannot proceed on Milkman Conspiracy mission GLITCH PLEASE HELP!!!

On the last part of the level where you are supposed to blast the rainbow scout after she opens the door to the milkmans lair, the game simply won't let me no matter what I try. If I try shooting her when she comes all the way out of the house as usual, she basically teleports back inside the house. I have played through this game atleast 5 time without this ever happening. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Hide beside the window or garage, out of sight to the door. Turn Invisible , as soon as she opens the door for the second time skating out, double jump over her and in. Hope that helps

When I played through, I never shot her at all, I used invisibility and jumped over her and floated inside the house. I did notice when playing the Steam version this seemed much more finicky than on the retail version, so maybe they made it harder.

I just knocked on the door and stood behind the door, up against the wall. When the rainbow squirt opened the door I just turned invisible and walked around her.

Thanks for your help everyone. sorry it took so long to reply, my keyboard broke and I was just waiting for a replacement. after reloading the game a couple of times the game just fixed itself somehow and I was finally able to continue. not the only, or the weirdest glitch I've encountered in a playthrough of psychonauts... gotta love it!

I did not know you could shoot the rainbow squirt. You know your supposed to use invisibility, right?

Yeah I thought you were supposed to use invisibility.

Yeah you can either use invisibility to just walk around her or jump over her head from the roof, but when I was having the problem no method worked; including invisibility. Just verified the integrity a couple times and it worked again.

MMM i'm trying to get inside the house but invsibility doesn't work. She spottes me anyway all the times. This isn't normal right? I can't even hurt her.
