No Voices in both episodes.

I started up episode 1 after re completing Half life 2, but when the opening part comes up with the ruble is falling with Breen's voice I could only hear his voice with no other sound effects. After that G-man, Alyx and Klinner had no voices and there lips did not move. I have gone through the internet in search for help but I couldn't find anything. So can any body help?

Did you install any weapon skin recently? If so, try deleting it and start the game again.

Just wondering, Is there a way to have custome texures and all that stuff but keep the sound?

When you download skins like these, there is a "scripts" folder between the files. This folder contains a file that tells the game what sounds to load, if this file is badly edited it causes this error. You can simply delete the whole "scripts" folder before installing the skin, but that specific weapon won't have any sound, everything else should be fine.

Thank you, I did that and I got the weapon sounds but they are jut the hl2 ones. Your other post made it sound like all weapon sound would vanish.
