not much point in getting this nowadays over xrd rev 2, EXCEPT if you are interested in the story mode since this contains what essentially is the first part of the whole xrd storyline
(altho tbf it is also on arcsys's youtube channel)
However if you're the type of person (like me) that can potentionally get invested in things like story modes easier if they're being played in game rather than watching some roundabout ways like beforementioned uploaded youtube cutscenes, as specific as that may sound like; this is absolutely worth it for like the 3 bucks that you can get it for on sale, while it def starts a bit slow and is quiet. long in general for what it is, as in cutscenes only around 4 hours in this game alone, it is absolutely worth it for the characters and moments that were presented, that made me see the guilty gear cast in a, while not so different, definitely more clear light and had me especially have more appreciation for them

Something to note tho, the arcade modes of each character do take place before the events of the story mode itself, so I def rec checking those out first; it's still gonna be enjoyable if you decide to skip those but while I have not played these myself yet, I def felt like being thrown into some moments where I thought I was supposed to know more than I should, in case that may be smth to potentionally bug you

regardless, main point uhh story mode good bedman is peak fiction
