All those pretty screenshots and gameplay videos you see up there? They are from the PS4 version of the game. What you are actually buying is a pretty rubbish PS3 port that looks remarkably like the back of a bus. The Fox Engine, that thing that MGS uses on PC, is nowhere to be seen.

Player animations are jerky, goalkeepers have all had a mandatory full frontal lobotomy and play like David James with Parkinsons.

In addition this

- an internet connection is always required (no mention of this on Steam page)
- No dedicated PC settings what so ever (just 'Low', 'Medium' and 'High')
- Teams are all out of date
- Microtransactions

If the game were ten pounds, and the screenshots and videos actually showed the product you were going to get, then yeah, maybe worth a quick look. At four times that price you have to wonder if someone at Konami is having a laugh.

Shame on Konami... i really don't understand.why Konami why? why you don't care about pc? but we still pay the some money as console users.... this game looks like pes 2015,not 2016...
why ps4 version is better? engine is worse than ps4/x1,less animations than ps4/x1,flat turf and etc. BUT most important,where is the DYNAMIC WEATHER!!!

SHAME ON KONAMI!!!

The PC version of PES2016 is a PS3 port. How is it that the PS4 version has high resolution models, crowds, players and better lightting then the PC version? Its not even running on DX11, its running on DX9. I was genuanly exacited for this game until now. Yes the gameplay is better then FIFA 16 but FIFA 16 doesnt ♥♥♥♥ over the pc communtiy.

Just a bad old console generation port. Not the same game engine found on the XBONE or PS4, low res textures and no 4K (2560x1600 is the highest I saw) or SLI support. Not that you'd need SLI as one GTX 980 will run the game at max settings and use up anywhere from 10-20% of GPU performance during zoomed out gameplay and around 40% during upclose replays.

Another issue is transfers, a ton of players are still at their old clubs. Perhaps during the time consuming port Konami managed to not do a roster update.

These issues are probably why they never released a PC Demo. Thank goodness for Steam's return policy, after 10 minutes of gameplay this one is going back ASAP.

I wanted to like PES 2016 and had high hopes for it after seeing what they did with the latest MGS title for PC. EA only doing marginal updates to FIFA is killing me and I don't want to give them anymore cash. It's a real shame because this title looks and plays so well on PS4.

False advertising: videos on store page are taken from PS4, but the game is a PS3 port. Check a real PC gameplay at YouTube. The graphics are awful.

Lack of content: Announced stadia such as Arena Corinthians (2014 World Cup opening match) and Beira-Rio are unavailable at PC version.

The game plays pretty well but this will be the last time I buy a PES game even though I've been playing them for the last 20 years.

The fact that the video and description of the game is for the ps4 version of the game even though its resembles the xbox 360 version of the game. I have sent an email with screen shots to the uk advertising standards agency as no where in the steam advert does it say that the images shown do not represent the game that you will be buying.

It feels like a patched version of last years title with last years squads still in place. The graphics just look bad and even then the whole experiance is lacking polish and just screams of lazy development and low budget.

I only paid £20 for it and feel really hard done by, can't imagine how ripped off i would have felt had i paid full price. I wouldn't have purchased knowing that it was not the game that I would get.

Dont buy this game!

Graphics are crap, goalkeepers are way worse then on pes 2015, you can score easily goals outside of the box with Ibra, Neymar, C.ronaldo, keepers never defend the ball, defense is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke specialy online. My club sucks the balls system is rubish. Keepers are bugged in the goal kick you can never direct the ball to the player you want alway have to kick up to front.

I wanted to give this game a positive review... i really wanted to.
This is my comeback to PES after 5 years of FIFA, and I must say that I'm regretting it.
It's not a gameplay issue. This PES is a good football game.
Some say graphics are not good for PC, I say they're fine.
It runs smoothly at max settings on my not-so-high-end-machine, and I quite enjoy the graphics. Ok, crowds are ridiculous, but it's not what I'm looking for in a football game.
Gameplay is nice. Movements are well done, shooting is satisfying, players really look like their real-life counterpart... everything ok here.
Yes, refrees tend to be a little bit too british, if you know what I mean: in order to get a yellow card you have to backstab your opponent with a knife. Decapitation may reward you with a red card. All other fouls just don't get signaled. I can live with it. Oh and goalkeepers tend to be somehow sleepy and you may concede goals that would otherwise be saved by a 2nd division goalkeeper, but that's "ok" too... I'm willing to forgive all this to Konami this year, but...

ONLINE IS BROKEN!

Some say matchmaking takes forever. This is partly true. Sometimes it finds a match within a few minutes, sometimes it takes longer, sometimes it takes forever... but I guess that's because noone's playing online and know why? Because no matter how good your pc is and no matter how fast your connection is,

you will get a 1 second button delay in online matches...

that means you want to slide tackle? you will end up missing the ball, missing the player and you'll find yourself lying on the pitch alone, while the attacker has already scored... nice eh?
I looked everywhere to find a solution. Don't even bother (nagle's algorythm, windowed fullscreen, gpu settings, you'll find those tips everywhere... guess what? no difference. AT ALL)

THIS IS RIDICULOUS, UNACCEPTABLE, AND A TOTAL JOKE

If it doesn't get patched within this year this will be the last time I'll put money on a KONAMI game. EVER.

So be warned, if you plan to play online, don't even bother getting this game.
If you plan to play it offline it MAY be a good game IF fouls and goalkeepers get patched.

Also, before the upcoming patch that should update squads and add a few teams, KONAMI has done a worse job than ever before (if possible). Summer market has been barely taken into consideration, even for licensed teams. That's unacceptable too. And planning an update more than a month after release is even less acceptable. How comes that FIFA's squads are always (ALWAYS!) up to date on release (or at least they try...)? They must have some magic skills...

I need to update this review after the "big update" has been released. Guess why? Because they managed to ♥♥♥♥ this up one more time! Transfers are not completely updated, they simply skipped the last day of transfer market, so needless to say, they skipped a MASSIVE part. Still no sign of gameplay or online performance updates. WORST PURCHASE EVER. WORST GAMING COMPANY EVER. They're fooling their customers around. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME AND FROM EVERY OTHER KONAMI GAME, JUST LET THEM DIE, THEY DESERVE IT!

Last generation graphics, extremely laggy online play, out of date team rosters. Terrible, save your money and buy Fifa 2016.

Horrible, PS3 Port, Last Gen Engine, Graphics, Gameplay.
