Stuttering / crashes to desktop in the Sisters Mine / questions regarding game progression

I got the quest from Mantid to get colour with the extract glyph, but once I enter the mines and look at the place with colour on the left the game stutters and eventually crashes if I don't look away. The other place is just fine, but for some reason the game really doesn't like specifically that place.

Also how do I get the colour? What is the glyph to take it once I break the rock? I tried going to the other sisters but the nameless Sister says she doesn't have enough strengh. What do I do?

I'm having the same problem. I have played this game all the way thru several times before on the same computer but now it will crash upon entering the mines. I have reintalled Windows a couple of times recently so I'm wondering if it has something to do with updated nVidia graphics drivers. Any suggestions?

Ah I found the solution! YOu just have to tone down the settings. Apparently some levels have issues when your settings are way up more then the PC or the game can chew.
