New GamePad support
As part of 1.0.9051 version, we have entirely changed the way we handle game pad, because of issues in detection/lag some users were having.

- you can now plug/unplug game pads without restarting the game. The latest plugged pad will be used
- we have setup the default button config using XBox 360 controller. If that doesn't work for your gamepad, you can change the settings by editing the gamePadConfig.txt file in the game installation directory. Please post here your configuration with your game pad model so other users can use it.
- DPad should be correctly working now.

My PS4-Pad is not working anymore with this patch! :( Up is down, down is up and the buttons don't work at all! Please fix .. I can't play!

Or please give us the info which numbers are for which button, so we can config the file. I don't wanna guess random numbers and hope for a button to work correctly again.

Edit ... here is my gamePadConfig for my PS4-Pad ... D-Pad now working and Attack is finally on X and not on SQUARE anymore:

{
"analogX":0,
"analogY":1,
"analogYInv":false,
"attack":11,
"confirm":11,
"menu":13,
"cancel":10,
"ddrUp":16,
"up":6,
"down":7,
"left":8,
"right":9,
"L":14,
"R":15
}

The numbers for the buttons are:

6 - D-UP
7 - D-DOWN
8 - D-LEFT
9 - D-RIGHT
10 - SQUARE
11 - X
12 - CIRCLE
13 - TRIANGLE
14 - L1
15 - R1

You're welcome, developers ;)

Thank you Xibalba. This update totally broke the DualShock 4.

we will add a command to display the gamepad device name, this way we can add extra auto-configs base on the pad you plug
Gimlao Sep 3, 2015 @ 12:06pm
By the way, it's normal if Attack was on Square.

It's the same with the Xbox controller.

A (Cross) to Confirm.
B (Circle) to Cancel.
X (Square) to Attack.

... It feels right the way it is ...

PS : which driver/tool are you using for your PS controller ?
Soultaker_92 Sep 3, 2015 @ 12:30pm
My controller does not function now... I have only this controller and i don't know how to configure it because i don't know the numbers of Big Ben controller...So, i can't continue to play...

I wait for a new patch because i love this game...

Thanks. And sorry for my bad English.

For a 360 pad, the numbers are:

Up: 16
Down: 17
Left: 18
Right: 19
A: 4
B: 5
X: 6
Y: 7
LB: 8
RB: 9
Back: 11
Start: 12

At least that's what I have on my HORI EX2 360 pad, I assume it's the same for official ones.

The Dualshock 4 works perfectly now when used in conjunction with InputMapper (DS4Windows) which is how you should need to use your DS4 on everything else on PC. If you're having problems still, make sure you're using InputMapper with your gamepad.

For a BigBen Interactive (PS3 Pad), the numbers are:

"analogX":0,
"analogY":1,
"analogYInv":false,
"attack":10,
"confirm":8,
"menu":11,
"cancel":9,
"ddrUp":16,
"up":4,
"down":5,
"left":6,
"right":7,
"L":12,
"R":13

@Xibalba : you have put the same button for attack and confirm. This will cause problem because confirm is used for jump in platformers :)
Emtu Sep 3, 2015 @ 3:43pm
Is it possible to assign more than one button to the same function with the new controller config?

Edit: Like say I wanted both X and B to attack.

How do you find the file for setting your gamepad controls ?

It's in the game install folder, gamePadConfig.txt.
