Unable to load Steam.dll

i was able to play the game yesterday, but now every time i try to run it, i get this error. all of the other games i play through steam work fine, only PvZ gives this error. any tips or advice on how to fix this?

Exit Steam by going to Steam->Exit at the top left of the client, then restart Steam.

Now it's unable to syncronise my saved data with steam cloud system.

Yeah I just got this game too and i wanna play it, but im having the same problem and it sucks. >.<

Right click on the game in your library and select properties from the dropdown list, then in the Updates tab, uncheck 'enable Steam cloud synchronisation' for the game.

Open main steam folder, find steam.ddl, copy, paste into plants vs zombies folder.

i found the source and was able to resolve it: i used the "zombatar" editor to create a new zombie, and the image file for it was saved to my desktop. i moved it to the folder with all the others i had made months ago, and now the game works fine. this solved the issue for ME, i do not know if it will work for anyone else. best of luck everyone :)
