Why was the Complete Story upgrade left out of the discount?

Those with the standard edition are now put at a disadvantage. Buying the whole Complete Edition is cheaper than the upgrade.

Disrespectful with who had previous bought.
I'll try to buy as a gift and activate it anyway, but if i can't i'll never buy that upgrade (i say never). Even if it works, i "lost" the base game, just because upgrade is the only option not on sale. Even artbook is on sale, what the hell?

Ericz, I'm pretty sure buying as gift then adding won't work. I think this is just a pricing mistake because, like you said, even the artbook is on sale. I sent in a ticket to Steam Support, hopefully if enough people do this they'll fix it before long.

In the past I've seen valve selling bundles for more than buying individual games etc, now this confusing pricing is probably a mistake aswell.

I hope so. But the new pack came on 100% price and one or two days before goes to 20%, so... i not doubt it is that way. :(

I had the same issue before (Dungeon Defenders if anyone is curious). What I did was activate a gift copy on my account and it worked fine in adding the additional content.

if they are going to add new dlc, why not just create another dlc title...

now it feels like they are just stealing our money..

Don't worry guys! I had the DLC in my wishlist and Steam informs me that the DLC is on sale too!

...and then it redirects me to the Trine Complete.

yeah I liked the game was going to buty the dlc to play later then noticed the discrepency so am waiting so either its a mistake ad they'll get my money or its not and they wont get my money now. Possibly its something fun to do with DLC vs games and they have to specifically tell steamits on sale. Either way I'll eventually buy it...got the original on special so dont mind giving them some extra as 'support' for a great game.
