Can't get Bejeweled Twist to work on windows 8. It worked one time, than stopped when I tried to increase res to 1080. Game won't restart even after reinstall.

Got Game to work on Windws 8 by running in 800x600 in shortcut properties under browse files. Game Won't Support any kind of hardware acceleration in Windows 8. Won't support higher res. in Windows 8. Have AMD 13.1 driver installed for GPU on machine. Any known patches for Pop Cap Games. Anything older than Plants Vs Zombies needs them for Windows 8.

System Specs:
Asus M5A78L-M LX Plus Motherboard
16 GB memory Coursair 1600 MHz.
FX-8350 @ 4GHz. x 8 core CPU
XFX HD6870 900M 2 GB GPU
Samsung 128GB 840 Pro SSD
Windows 8 OS

Checked all DX drivers. Checked .net Drivers. All up to date.

Other DX 9 9c games work fine. Like Sega Classics Drive. Those games work fine.

Any Advise.

same for me in windows 8 although bejeweled 3 works perfectly

Works fine here in Windows 8. Except for hardware acceleration. Which doesn't work. But that seems to be a bug with all Popcap games. Since hardware acceleration doesn't work in those games either. Worked fine in Windows 7.

Running default resolution (800x600) in a Window. Because full screen looks ugly on my laptop with it's native 1600x900 resolution.

Running Windows 8 Pro on a Packard Bell laptop with a Radeon HD6650M graphics card with 2gb memory and running the beta 2 of the latest AMD drivers (13.8 mobility).

How is 13.8 beta driver? I just run full screen on pop cap games. Right, hard ware acc. doesn't work on win 8. Does on plant vs zombies & newer games like the. bejewled 3 works fine too. sucks that I can't run full res. Tried everything.

That is exactly what happend to me. I tried to change the resolution and can't bring it to work any longer.

got the game to work the second time on windows 8. here is a workaround to get the game to run. go to settings and go to control pannel. go to appearance and personalization and under display click ajust screen resolution and set it to lowest setting possible and hit apply and keep changes. it ran a second time for me now trying other resolution settings. just make shure to change it back to the best resolution when your done with the game.

nope just the lowest resolution it will only work on 1024x768

Good news when its not full screen its windowed it runs in highest resolution. trying one more thing. if it starts on windowed can it go to full screen and back to windowed when finished

good and bad news. it can go full screen after its windowed but it moves over a little bit so going full screen is not a good idea. try it out if you like it though.

i get the same problem - bejewleed crashing in windows 8.1. being lots of you had problems. going to request a refund..

This happens when you try to use 3d acceleration or increase resolution. Gives error for not enough video memory. You have to totally unistall the game. I use revo uninstaller then reinstalled game and works fine. Just play in normal mode not 3d and it will work fine.
