if you unlock the 175 round belt for the MG-34 you'll do it quite often. Or the static MG.

Static MGs never need barrel changes. But the MG-34 with the 250 round belt needs it often. So does the American .30 Cal.

I should imagine anyone who fires it in bursts or rapidly single fires it.

Yeah, Japanese Type 96/99 need changed too... it's not just problem with it smoking either - had the barrel split on me when I never changed it, rendering it useless. Learned pretty quick to change out the barrels after that :)

The american mg (If used in a "rambo") you need to change the barrel after a clip and a quarter. Meaning 200 bullets.

i change it out when the smoke gets to be to much and theres a break between waves. ill probably get hit soon anyway why not enjoy a smoke free barrel while you last

I never had to. Ever.
I don't even remember how to change barrels.

All the time lol. I have destroyed a barrel before. Pain that is. And it is not because I just shoot at anything either. Mg is probably my favourite role and I often find myself with plenty to shoot at.

And pressing 6 changes barrel ownomics.

I remember one time I kept destroying the barrels even after I changed it THRICE. It sucks when there is an enemy 4 meters away and your barrel is overheated.

You only have 2 barrels, one in the gun and one on your back, so if you swap out a smoking barrel, but then swap it again, you're putting the other barrel back in. As far as I can tell, it cools fairly gradually on your back, so even if it's not smoking, it would begin to smoke fairly quickly. It's annoying. I wonder if going near an ammo point would replace the one on your back?

Sounds painful.

It's carried in a case which people occasionally mistake for a panzerfaust and then ask where they can get hold of one in game...
