Japan Unbalanced?
I was really big on playing RS back when it was in Beta and quite a while after it came out. Back then, it was really a toss up on who would win; It depended on team coordination and the competence of the squad and team leaders. Sure there were a few maps were one side had a clear advantage, but those were few and not too bad (not including Iwo Jima).

Because of the discount last weekend, I bought the game for a friend. I started playing last weekend for the first time in months. Holy hell, is it bad. I swear, the Americans have a 1:5 victory rate in my recent games. I don't know if an update changed some things or if noobs just REALLY like America, but something's up. My friend and I are almost always treated to raging as Americans because the round time is half way done by the time the first point is taken or sitting back in a shooting gallery as the ♥♥♥♥.

Guess I could go back to HoS :mkb: :(

The Knee Mortar is very powerful, but so is the M1 Garand. If you bunch up around predictable and confiend areas (e.g. in trenches, behind walls), expect to get mortared and die a lot. If they charge en masse, it's the job of the man with the Flamethrower to take them out. Otherwise there's a good chance they may break through the lines and kill a few Americans.

I think there is a good balance, it mostly depends on the teamwork and tactics... having good squad leaders and good commander are vastly important... I think the Flamer is a bit OP the range should perhaps be reduced and once you are hit you can not shoot back... it is an insta disarm quickly followed by an insta kill. Whereas I suppose the ♥♥♥♥ weapon is a knee mortar. thing about that is you have to be stationary, the Flamer is far more Mobile. both have a wide splash damage however, I would say that if you shoot the fuel tank on the Flamer perhaps it blows up and incinerates everything/everyone withing a certain semi circle area to the left and right and behind the flamer soldier.

That would be EPIC, then flamers take alot of risk when they move up close to team.

The number of times it has been suggested to make flamethrowers explode is ridiculous. It's completely unrealistic and has been pointed out by the community every time.

Just last week we had noobs complaining about Japan being underpowered.

America will always be appealing to noobs. People who come over from CoD and BF can't stand being riflemen, which is all they can handle. The M1 Garand alleviates their bolt-action woes. However, as the last F2P weekend gets further and further from us, I am finally finding some games where the American team isn't totally incompetent. I suppose skill is really what decides the battle, but you can't balance that!

Also, I think this was in the Beta but removed for official launch: Why can't there be honor caps for important roles? I mean, really, too many times has someone hopped into squad leader just for the weapons and then wonder why their entire team is yelling at them for dying constantly and not marking artillery coordinates. IDK why they'd removed such a wonderful feature...

That was never a feature in the game. What was a feature and later removed was having to level up your honor to unlock realism mode. However, since action mode servers are dead, they removed that feature.

Oh...

Well they should still add class caps, damnit!

I would like that as well, as long as it was a server option and completely configurable by the server owners.

You know it's balanced when we get 1 "Japanese are underpowered" and 1 "Japanese are OP" -thread every week.

Having a good and active TL with a mic and very good SL's is everything in this game, l2p :nutcracker:

The knee mortars can be just as affective if not more than a flamethrower. I almost play the japanese exclusivly and my victory to loss ration is much higher than HoS.

Not necessarily. I've been in games where the TL and SLs are all very good but people won't listen to them. You'll have snipers picking off random rifleman at the back of the map, MGs charging into bunkers Rambo style, and the riflemen... Oh God the campers. GET IN THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ POINT. I still have nightmares.
