Heaps of New Players
So what do you guys think about all these new players joining us now?
I think it's great because you are now almost guaranteed to have full Aussie/NZ servers when normally they would have a very low amount of players.

Sure, there is team killing, but you have to expect that when people are playing it for the first time.

Doesn't really matter; if they're competent then good that means more friends to play with. If they're dumb as hell then good that means we get the realistic experience of more experienced soldiers fighting with wads of scared panicking inexperienced consripts.

Its a good thing. Hopefully the newbies will check out some of the guides we have on steam hub.

Aussie/NZ has always been full, thinking of donating to combat those new players

Well, that particular server yes, but I'm not really a big fan of that one. I was more talking about RS Realism, RO2 + RS and just all RO2 maps servers - it's great to see those more active.

I think it's great, the more full servers the better. I was giving someone tips on how to use TL last night (on a half-populated server, he had never played it before). I think there should be a mandatory requirement to get to at least level 20 with Rifleman before using any other class, but I could see how that might dissuade newbies from playing further. It does chafe to be under some nonce SL or TL who doesn't communicate and has no inclination to learn, but I guess you get that sort in a lot of multiplayers games. The problem rests in allowing new players into roles of responsibility; I think this shouldn't be allowed until some basic experience is attained, as mentioned.

It's great for the game, this last lot so far have been great, sure there is the TKing but as I said in a previous thread the new guys have so far impressed me a lot with their willingness to listen and be a part of the team in the matches, I can only count maybe 2 out of the hundreds I've played with other the last couple of days that I would have auto banned given the choice, hats off to the new guys and welcome.

It's cracking, and to be honest, Teamkilling was an issue with some veteran players as well.

15000 people, people! better than having 800-1000 people.
