Random Damage? So frustrating

Sometimes when I'm standing there without any shots being fired at my direction I would start taking massive amounts of damage. I would be at health 0% but not die. Everything just looks bloodshot. As long as I stay still for a few seconds I will start regenerating.

Anyone know why you just randomly get huge damage but not die? There really weren't any artilleries near by or anything.

That's not how this game works. This game doesn't have regenrating health. What you are experiencing is suppression. Your character gets suppressed when bullets whiz by you. When you are suppressed, your vision goes greyscale and blurry, and it's more difficult for you to aim.
