Also, isn't it normal in a closed test that stuff may go a bit wrong?
I wasn't in a testing server/game.
i'd love to get back into the beta testing, but it happens at noon, my time. i never get the chance to join in anymore.
I was there on 4 evenings. There was always plenty of players during test sessions. Other times (other than announced test session times) it was probably quite empty I assume.
Maybe you missed announced test times.
What the game desperate needs is stability. Get rid of the ridiculous lottery on whether or not the game will crash to the desktop after a map loads, I reckon I get between a 33 and 50% chance of it crashing after a map loads. The game crashes in the middle of maps too, a not infrequent occurence.
Occasionally it completely freezes for between 5 and 10 seconds. Chat on the campaign menu and map select is buggy. You can't post sometimes and you some times cannot scroll, and othertimes you scroll the chat and it pings back up to the top. Mute settings and kick-voting are similarly clunky and buggy. These are aside from aspects of the gameplay which are buggy, the worst offenders being the tanks.
I love the game and have defended it from the Bagrations of the community time and again, but the game has been hard work at times, and if I'm honest, that the game is still so badly unstable is unacceptable. This game is not one which has been rushed out and at any rate, they've had years to fix the bugs now, but some of them were not present in earlier builds. I'm happy with the level of content in RO2 [Rising Storm notwithstanding], and while I'd never say no to more content for HoS, but I'd rather they fixed how the game is because it's getting beyond a joke now.
It's not even like it's because the game is heavily modded.
Pretty hilarious too that TWI spouts hate on CoD for saying ''cod ruined a generation of gamers'' while they cod-ified their own game in the form of realism (basically action mode without crosshair).
A gamemode from CoD, S&D in RO? Sure, why not. It fits in the TWI-spirit.
What are you on about? What beta version?
In any given game, at least 25% or more of casualties are friendly fire. Now they want to have a one life mode? LOL
S&D will be a ragefest. Too many people will get tked right off the bat and noone wants to sit around for 15 mins or so watching someone crawl way out on the flank and hide in a bush. S&D is gonna encourage people to camp and games are gonna be a borefest as well as a ragefest for all the people killed by friendly fire.
Worst idea ever for this game.
