Rising Storm/Red Orchestra 2 Multiplayer

Statistiche:
Unintentional teamkilling
This happens, in the last couple of months I've noticed a big decline in the number new players saying "sorry" or forgiving unintentional TKs. It doesn't take much to do, may make someone a friend instead of an enemy and is also a REQUIREMENT on most servers as well as being common courtesy, so please, just say "sorry" and forgive, makes for a happier community.

Sometimes the kill feed is moving too quickly and I never saw if I killed a friend or foe :/
This happens when a building was just occupied by the enemy a minute ago. In one instance a teammate next to me is struck down, I look over and see muzzle flash behind a bush -- I shoot. ... And get a team kill :( crap

I have said sorry though for team killing when I see it.

New players don't say sorry. Half the time they don't even notice they've TK'd someone.
people have hardly ever said sorry. been true since the game came out. new guys are the worst, because they don't know they need to, don't know they even killed a friendly. are too overwhelmed or just don't care. it's acceptable in other games without penalty, right? hell do most of those acrade games even have friendly fire on?
i'm new player only a few hours in the game and in two ocasions i kill 4 teammates in a row and i get kicked from server......
but i was think they was enemies 100% sure.

also i get team kill too and i do TK too sometimes.this game need a bit better diference between enemie/friend, maybe the colors of the clothes.....they are very similar.

now sometimes i run in front an enemie (2meters) but i don't notice it's enemie and he kill me.

You learn it through practice ...
there are many differences, like the hats/helmets they wear, the uniform color (yes it is different ... germans have green/grey, russians brownish) and the way they hold their weapon during walking/running.
You also can regularly check the map to find out where friendlies are in order to be certain that people running in your FoV are really enemies.

I guess everyone has its own experiences with a high rate of teamkillings in the beginning, till s/he learned to better distinguish friends from foes ;)
(and some particularly foggy maps, like Winterwald or Fallen Fighters, have the habit to increase the rate of team killings even with more experienced fighters)

I might add that the FF kick is a feature that isn´t employed on every server ... many servers don´t have this feature enabled
Friendly Fire is meant to be a major hazard in the game. Thats just how it is. The best way to avoid friendly fire is for a team to be coordianted. Organize how every one is going to move and act, and players will have a better idea of where/when to expect friendlies and enemies.

Since most players are not going to be capable/interested in this level of teamwork most of the time you are just going to have to accept a large number of teamkills.

Personally, my biggest problems with players and tks is not forgiving. I don't really care if a tk'er apologizes or not; I usually determine whether or not to forgive regardless of whether or not there is an apology. What bugs me is players never forgiving and getting me or other players kicked for no good reason. This is epitomized by lemmings who make the decision to run into friendly artillery and get their commanders kicked.

Glad you ended up buying the game! Axis always move holding their weapon with ONE hand. Allies always move holding their weapon with TWO hands. - This is a starting point to tell friend from foe. You will notice with Pacific Theatre maps the skins change esp with Axis... ie Hanto: if it's a running bush it's Japanese lol ;)
Sometimes it is hard to tell, you only see a helmet or a glimpse of a leg and you pull on reflex... in such situations i do say sorry and offer a small explanation. On the occasions where i get killed if i think it is an honest mistake or if they ask i forgive, but for some i do not.

not all new guys are bad. i consider myself to have done pretty damn well while learning the ropes of the game. hell im still learning the ropes i guess but i got rifleman down for the most part. eventually ill prolly start practicing other classes on less populated servers.

for a pretty new player i dont think i TK that much(also always make sure to apologise). most common way i tk by mistake is if i die before i get to throw a nade but im learning the appropiate time to bust one out more safely.

i also understand the importance of checking the map

In CoD "HARDCORE" mode (haaa), friendly fire is on. However, and get this, it kills you if you hit a teammate and does not kill them. It is good for stopping trolling ♥♥♥♥♥. However, since it is call of duty and all the 13 year olds like to run around like rabid and headless demons, what really happens is you will be laying down a line of fire with an LMG. I mean 100 round drum mag, continous fire, loud noise, not moving and shooting down and alley and some dildo will run right infront of you from the side...killing YOU with his idicoy. Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious :P
You gotta just practice and learn the uniforms. I've not noticed a lot of people not apologising or nping. I always do both when I can unless its some guy who TKed on purpose. :P

To be completely honest the only time I TK nowadays is when I see someone way out in enemy territory and shoot before I confirm he's enemy, or when I'm about to get off on a huge bot server and decide to mow down AI's lol. It happens though...

I agree 100%, I dont care how I was tk'd as long as I get a sry/soz/sorry.... if not I can only assume it was intentional and I will return the favour.
For me as a new player, the problem is bigger on Pacific maps, especially dark maps like Guadalcanal. I just have a really hard time telling the uniforms apart. The best are russia winter maps, the greatcoats give the russians completely different silhouettes from the germans. I think german and russian headwear is more distinct from each other as well.

Any tips for telling ♥♥♥♥ and yanks appart? The 1 hand vs 2 hand running is really useful, thanks for that, but doesn't help when they are standing still.

But yeah, it can be really hard to even notice you teamkill, especially if an assault just failed or someone got a good artillery strike in.

There is a trick where you can hold down the "attack here" button and swipe it around the enemy and it will turn red if its a foe. I don't remember the exact trick, and I think it might be restricted to TLs and Sls, but you could give it a look... maybe search the guides.
I also did some TKs & wounding back, especially against few Heroes in Pacific front not recognizing in a rush.

Also don't know whether it's me not doing it correctly in heat of the battle or a bug, observed that typed "sorry" or "np" didn't sent, had to hit Enter again.
