This title feels more like a preview than a full-fledged game, offering a glimpse of its inventive mechanics across just three maps. In each scenario, your mission remains the same: protect your temple from relentless enemy waves. But what sets this game apart is how you go about it.

At the start of every match, you're presented with a randomized selection of three cards, each representing a unit or a perk. Units vary in health, attack strength, and may come with unique abilities, like ranged attacks or multi-target strikes. Perk cards spice things up further by enhancing your troops, granting effects like increased damage through rage or elemental bonuses like fiery weapons.

After every enemy wave, each more challenging than the last, you get to pick another card to add to your growing collection. These cards are your tools for summoning units in battle, and you retain them until the match ends.

Here’s where things get interesting: summoning isn’t just a click-and-place mechanic. With the press of a key, time freezes, and you're free to draw your army directly onto the battlefield using your mouse. You can encircle enemies with sword-wielding brutes, strategically place archers at the rear, or assign perks to units for extra firepower.

Once you unfreeze, the battle unfolds in real time. But there’s a catch: you’ll have to wait 30 seconds before freezing again, so plan carefully. The pacing ramps up fast; what starts as a skirmish quickly escalates into sprawling, cinematic clashes with hundreds of units on-screen.

While it may seem like you can summon endlessly, there's a hidden cost. After each wave (or after the timer runs out), all summoned units disappear and their cumulative cost is deducted from a resource bar at the top of the screen. Overspending can quickly become a problem, especially as enemy waves grow in intensity. There’s no reward, and you keep going until you lose your temple.
