Climbing up Spear Sequence in Beginning of game

I have a PC while using the XBox controller. Getting used to the fixed camera, yet I am stuck while trying to climb up the spears. Do I turn off the PS3 controlls, then just use the keyboard to climb the spears? Seems that I can't climb up to spear. Used the grappling hook, went into the wall, then came right back out. Is this one of those games where you have to switch between keyboard/joystick?

re configure your x box controller (A) for jump (B) for interact (Y) bomb etc, use mouse for aim and shoot, adjust the controls to suit your gameplay! try NOT to use keyboard unless you have too YOU cant use aim on x box controller I"ve only use keyboard for change weapons ie 1 to 9
Ps I use mouse for AIM/SHOOT only ,A bit of a pain but it works.

You can use aim on a X-Box controller it's just not as good as you would expect. R-stick is your aim, with R-trigger being fire or throw spear. Change from spear to guns with d-pad up and to right. You can set up your own set up too.
