I could've sworn there was an online option.

So you can aim with the right stick and shoot with the Right Trigger or whatever button you choose for "Fire". It's a much more satisfying feel for me personally, plus it seems like that should've been the idea since "Fire" is selectable to map to a button but doesn't work anyways....
