My own experience: I have a program called MotionInJoy (free) which spoofs my PS3 pad to act as a 360 pad (I prefer the pad). I find that the face buttons and the left stick work fin on this game.
I suspect that a native 360 pad would also work.
Let me know... Another option might be set up XPadder.
